Customers can make a donation in various denominations that range from $5 all the way to $200 — as Apple notes that 100% of your donation will be transferred to the American Red Cross to aid the organisation’s support and relief efforts that are currently underway in both regions.

The donation drive from the Cupertino company arrives after the island of Kyushu (near Japan) suffered two quakes last week, and a further magnitude 6.1 tremor was recorded near to the coast of Sendai – on April 21.

Meanwhile, the BBC reports that the 7.8 quake that hit Ecuador – last Saturday, is known to have killed “at least 570 people,” as it cites that many communities –including the coastal town of Pedernales– were also badly hit.
